Supposed to be a zoo day...

but it was just to wet and windy!
We had planned a day for me to take a personal day and us to go visit Bud and Lori.  We went up on a Sunday and spent the night.  The boys were supposed to do a lot of golfing and we were supposed to have a 31 Party and go to the Zoo.  Well, a few days before, Lori decided to cancel her party and do a book party.  We decided to take the kids to a place called World of Bounce. They had so much fun and wore themselves out! Jack "crawled" around on the floor (gross, I know).
There was a big slide and the girls headed straight to it when we walked in. I thought for sure that Zoe would chicken out and would no way go up (and down) it! Lori thankfully jumped right in and took her up the first time. She went down it several times and each time she looked scared to death all the way down and then smiled at the bottom.

On Monday, we planned a trip to the Zoo and Zoe had been so excited! Donna even gave her money to feed the giraffes. We were all very sad to have to cancel our trip because it was raining and windy. We decided to find something else to do that was inside and fun.  We found this place close to the zoo (because we had packed out stuff to go to the zoo just in case) that was a showroom for Rainbow Playsets and you could pay a small entrance fee and go play.  It was actually a very cool place and the kids did have fun for a while, but I think they were too burnt out on playing inside from the day before. We were only there an hour or so.  The boys had decided to only play one round of golf due to the weather so we decided to meet them for lunch.  At lunch, I noticed that Zoe's eye seemed to be getting red and watery.  We went back to Bud and Lori's and got our things ready.  Once we were all packed up, we headed straight to the doctor to find out that Zoe had pink eye (at this time, they also tested her for strep because her throat seemed red - it came back negative)! Fun times doing eye drops on a 3 year old for a week, 2 times a day! As a side note, the next Monday, the redness of her actual eye had gone away, but her eye seemed swollen. I took her in and said it was just from a stye, but they also tested her again for strep because her throat was still red - and it was positive!
Anyway, here are some pictures from the play day.

We are definitly going to have to plan another day to play with the Jones family....hopefully next time, it will go a little more according to plan for everyone!
